Artemisia tridentata
This sage is of great power — a
true energetic transformer. It grows in the arid deserts of the American
Southwest and, although considered a sage by the First Nations, it belongs
botanically to the Asteraceae family, in the artemisia genus, like mugwort and
prairie sage. It is advisable to burn it in combination with other herbs —
white sage, cedar, or sweetgrass — to modulate its intensity.
Use desert sage as a
high-intensity purifier to eliminate heavy influences, stagnant energies, or
unwanted presences. Its action is direct, deep, and sovereign.
How to Use :
Obtain a smudge shell or small
heat-resistant container.
Place a few leaves in the center
of the shell and light it to thoroughly ignite the mixture. Fan with a feather
or fan to extinguish the flame and activate the embers. Then, allow the sage to
smolder in the chosen location, pass it around the person to be purified, or
move it through the areas to be purified.
This incense must be used in a
well-ventilated space. If indoors, open a window or door. .
